Feel safer now?

Operation Midway, making Illinois safe from “those” foreign immigrant gang members, only cost $59 million. Forget the sound bites from left- or even right-leaning news outlets.

This pathetic immigration roundup captured four “notorious” gang members. In addition, this repelling community blitz also disturbingly arrested women, children and even U.S. citizens in their careless attempt to make us safe.

Simply rethinking this “operation,” we could have fed 310,000 Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) recipients, seniors and others in need for a month with these recklessly applied funds. Come on. Whose government is this?
