Are you a local conservation leader? Join the soil & water conservation district board
The Kane DuPage Soil & Water Conservation District is looking for dedicated members of the district’s diverse communities to run for the board of directors. Three seats are up for election in 2026.
The Kane DuPage Soil & Water Conservation District is a state-mandated local unit of government that collaborates with the public, local/state/federal governments and nonprofit organizations to restore, conserve and steward the district’s natural resources.
It is guided by an elected board of directors to serve the conservation needs of the community. From the farm fields of Western Kane County to the green infrastructure of DuPage, board supervisors help steer the district’s important conservation work for the benefit of residents and the natural landscape.
Join the Kane DuPage Soil & Water Conservation District to help improve the health of the waterways, steward the landscapes and support a robust, dependable local food system. They encourage anyone who is committed to stewarding natural resources in Kane or DuPage counties and to serving their neighbors across the district to file a petition to run for director.
Nominations will be accepted for the two-year term at the district's office at 2315 Dean St., Suite 100, St. Charles during normal business hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays.
