A&A Ballet to hold open auditions for spring performance of ‘Swan Lake’

A&A Ballet announces open auditions in January for its performance of “Swan Lake” inspired one-act ballet, a production created by internationally acclaimed choreographers Alexei Kremnev and Anna Reznik.

In celebration of A&A Ballet’s 10th anniversary, this tribute to classical romantic ballet promises to be fast-paced, full of dramatic effects and true passion that will captivate audiences.

This isn’t just any “Swan Lake” — it’s a reimagining by two of ballet’s most innovative artistic minds, where Tchaikovsky’s timeless score meets the pure artistry of classical romantic tradition, emotional depth and technical brilliance. A&A’s unique take on the masterpiece is a one-act focusing on Prince Siegfried, Odette, Rothbart and the Swans.

For young performers, it represents more than just a role — it’s a chance to be part of a milestone production by a company recognized for launching dancers into prestigious careers worldwide.

The search is on for Chicago’s next generation of ballet stars. Dancers, ages 6-24 from across the Chicago area, are invited to audition. A&A Ballet welcomes all dance styles and skill levels. Registration is required.

“Our ‘Swan Lake’ marks an extraordinary milestone for A&A Ballet,” said co-founder and artistic director Alexei Kremnev who first debuted the ballet for the company’s fifth anniversary. “This production honors the classical romantic tradition while bringing fresh dramatic intensity and passion to one of ballet’s greatest works. We’re inviting the next generation to become part of something truly extraordinary — a production that celebrates both our company’s journey and the timeless beauty of this masterpiece.”

The production will feature original choreography by Kremnev and Reznik.
