Glen Ellyn leader to give State of the Village speech
The Glen Ellyn chapter of the League of Women Voters will host a State of the Village presentation next week featuring Village President Jim Burket and Village Manager Mark Franz.
Burket and Franz are set to highlight recent and upcoming projects in town. Burket won election last April.
The league will hold the annual meeting at the Glen Ellyn police station along Park Boulevard from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15. Doors open at 6:45 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public. It also is slated to include time for a Q&A session.
Burket also will give a State of the Village address following a Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce lunch at the Crowne Plaza Tuesday, Jan. 13. Admission is $50 for chamber members and $60 for non-members.
