Venezuela, Iraq and lessons of history

Whoever decided to stop teaching American History in our schools forgot that “if you don't learn from history it is sure to repeat itself.”

We wake up to find out that President Donald Trump (think, G.W. Bush) has taken over Venezuela (think, Iraq) with 30 million (think, 25 million) people and 365,000 (think, 235,000) troops and captured President Maduro (think Saddam Hussein) because of their drug trafficking (think weapons of mass destruction).

The only difference was that in the case of Iraq, (rightly or wrongly) the U.S. Legislature did vote to approve that war.
