Keep taxpayers out of higher insurance subsidies

I don’t understand why the taxpayers should be forced to pay the bill for the temporary increase due to COVID. I read that enrollment doubled after these subsidies were enacted.

We have to pay hundreds of dollars for health insurance and Medicare. What did the world do before these temporary subsidies were enacted? There are a lot of things that are hard to pay for, but that doesn’t mean it’s fair to ask the taxpayers to pay for this many people.
