South Barrington police announce results of enforcement push
A holiday safety enforcement campaign in South Barrington resulted in one drunken-driving arrest and 28 tickets for other offenses, police announced Monday.
The enforcement push ran from Dec. 12 through Monday. Tickets were issued for speeding, distracted driving, not wearing seat belts and other violations, according to a news release.
The holiday enforcement campaign was administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation with federal funds managed by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
