Proof of futility of fighting redistricting

It is a quixotic venture to reverse partisan redistricting that benefits one political party over another. The proof is right here in Illinois.

Does anyone seriously think that Democrats, their judges and their public worker unions would willingly give up complete legislative control by allowing for neutral redistricting?

If Pope Leo could not persuade Gov. Pritzker to veto the suicide law, how might fair-minded Illinoisans possibly convince him that politicized redistricting is a serious threat?
