Two facing felony theft charges
DuPage County court records indicate two people were charged with felony-level thievery on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Jillian Martin, 19, of the 700 block of West Chicago Street in Elgin, is accused of stealing more than $300 worth of merchandise from the Nordstrom store at Oakbrook Center mall in Oak Brook. It happened around 5:12 p.m. Wednesday. She was charged with felony retail theft. It was not a detainable offense, so she was released on personal recognizance.
On Christmas Day, Paul A. Romero was charged with felony retail theft — previous conviction. He is accused of taking liquor around 9 a.m. from a Walgreens store at 2311 W. Ogden Ave., Aurora. Romero, 33, lives in the 1900 block of Misty Ridge Lane, Aurora. It was not a detainable offense, so he was released on personal recognizance.
