Palatine man charged after police response to domestic call on Christmas Eve

A 28-year-old Palatine man is charged with multiple felonies following police officers’ response to a reported domestic-related incident on Christmas Eve.

Jarvin I. Mendez Quintanilla was charged with aggravated kidnapping, three counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault and aggravated domestic battery after police were called to a residence on the 1800 block of North Green Lane in Palatine.

Police said the charges approved by the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office involved a 26-year-old female victim.

On Friday, Mendez Quintanilla was transported to the Cook County Courthouse in Rolling Meadows for a detention hearing. He was ordered to be kept in custody while awaiting his next court appearance on Jan. 22.
