Church leaders anticipated reaching 20,000 people in person across its six campuses.

This year’s message was built upon Willow Creek’s current “Messengers” teaching series.

“Christmas reminds us that God is not distant or silent,” Williams said. “In Jesus, God made Himself known, revealed His heart, and secured our salvation. Christmas still matters because Jesus still matters.”

According to church leaders, hundreds of staff and volunteers assisted with the Christmas services. Leading worship, children’s ministry, guest services, production and pouring coffee are all crucial roles in making Christmas at Willow Creek a great experience for attendees.
