Police: Des Plaines man arrested after pointing BB gun during argument

A Des Plaines man was arrested last week after threatening another person with a BB gun, police said.

Andrzej Kwak, 72, of the 200 block of Leahy Circle South, is charged with misdemeanor aggravated assault.

Police went to the neighborhood about 11:45 a.m. Dec. 16 after the victim called 911 and said he was being threatened, according to a news release. Kwak pointed the weapon at the victim during an argument, police said.

Kwak was taken to the police station, processed and taken to Cook County court for a detention hearing. No other details were available.
