Elgin man gets 22 years for gunrunning
An Elgin man pleaded guilty Friday to gunrunning and was sentenced to 22 years in prison.
Graham Green, 26, pleaded guilty to a charge of unlawful sale or delivery of a firearm, according to a news release from the Illinois attorney general’s office. The attorney general co-prosecuted the case with the Kane County state’s attorney’s office.
He was charged in March 2024 after an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and Elgin police.
Authorities said that between September and December 2023, Green took part in the illegal sale of 18 guns and three machine-gun conversion devices in Kane County.
Green is currently in Centralia Correctional Center on several gun-related convictions in DeKalb and Cook counties, according to state prison records.
