Survey says Buffalo Grove residents feel safe, approve of police performance
An overwhelming majority of Buffalo Grove residents feel safe in their homes and neighborhoods, and believe their village’s police department is meeting their expectations, according to a recent community survey.
The Citizen Satisfaction Survey, conducted every other year, showed that nearly 97% believe it is safe walking in their neighborhoods and 89% feel the performance of the police department meets expectations.
“It is very encouraging to see that our police service satisfaction levels remain high, demonstrating our commitment to safety and excellence,” Police Chief Brian Budds said in an announcement of the results. “These survey results will help guide our future strategic vision.”
The survey was mailed to 1,500 residents and business owners and received a nearly 20% response rate. The full report is available on the Buffalo Grove website at www.vbg.org.
