GPS Parent Series in Spanish to provide strategies for raising well-adjusted children
On Thursday, Dec. 18, B-PAC: Glenbard Bilingual Parent Advisory Council and the GPS Parent Series in Spanish will present “Parenting Essentials for Happy, Healthy Kids” at 6 p.m. at Glenbard North High School, 990 Kuhn Road in Carol Stream. This program will be presented in Spanish only.
Navigating screen time and fostering children's emotional well-being are major parental concerns.
Psychologist Dr. Ferney Ramírez will return to GPS with strategies to foster a loving environment, prioritize children’s physical and mental well-being, and encourage positive habits.
Ramírez's real-world tools include strategies for nurturing the child-parent relationship, managing stress, and addressing mental health. Focusing on these key areas can help caregivers raise happy, healthy, and well-adjusted children who are prepared to thrive.
Ramírez coordinates programs for schools and families worldwide. He is the author of 10 mental health publications and president of the Family First Organization.
