Palatine Fire Explorers host fundraising brunch Jan. 11

The Palatine Fire Department Explorers Program will host its Winter Brunch from 8 a.m. to noon Jan. 11, at the American Legion Hall, 122 W. Palatine Road.

The event benefits the program, which introduces teens to firefighting skills, emergency response training and real-world mentoring from Palatine firefighters.

Brunch will include eggs, pancakes, sausage, bacon, French toast, orange juice and coffee. The cost is $13 for an adult; $6 for those between 5 and 10 years old; and free to those under 5.
