Man sought in robbery at Downers North high school

Downers Grove police are seeking a man who tried to rob a worker at Downers Grove North High School early Wednesday morning.

The robbery happened around 1:35 a.m. The man entered through an unlocked window. He demanded money from a maintenance worker and fled when he encountered another worker. He was last seen walking south on Forest Avenue.

The suspect is described as a Black man, about 5 feet 6 inches tall, in his 50s or 60s, with gray facial hair. The man was wearing a black puffy coat, a dark baseball cap, green pants, tan boots and tan gloves, and carrying a black drawstring bag.
