No injuries in Palatine apartment fire

There were no injuries reported following an apartment fire Friday in Palatine.

The fire was reported around 6:30 p.m. at 325 N Northwest Highway, according to a press release from the Palatine Fire Department. Responding crews found fire showing from a second floor unit and extinguished it in about 15 minutes.

Damage from the fire left one unit uninhabitable, but the rest of the units were not affected, fire officials said.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
