Lesson of the pardon

On Dec. 3, President Donald Trump pardoned yet another convicted felon. Let this be a wake-up call to the 50 state attorneys general. You need to prosecute fraud and violence and terrorism under your state laws to whatever extent is possible. Otherwise, you will see years of diligent investigation and prosecution by federal officials thrown to the wayside by every criminal who, upon sentencing, will lay their dollars and allegiance at Trump’s feet for an assured pardon.
