Male juvenile shot in Carpentersville

A juvenile was shot early Friday evening in the area of Wren and Robin roads in Carpentersville, according to the Carpentersville Police Department.
Police responded at about 6 p.m. to a report of shots fired, according to authorities.
The male juvenile was hospitalized with a non-life-threatening injury to his leg, police said. Several juveniles who were in the area at the time were interviewed but no arrests have been made, according to police.
The investigation is ongoing, police said.
