Two men charged in Lake County home burglaries

Two men face felony burglary charges for their parts in a crime spree in late November and early December in unincorporated Lake County, Lincolnshire and Highland Park.

Matthew Ristick, 18, of Chicago was charged with four counts and Kevin Miller, 26, of the 6000 block of Goebbert Road, Arlington Heights, was charged with one count of residential burglary after being arrested Thursday during a traffic stop in Tinley Park.

According to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, homes in unincorporated areas near Libertyville and Gurnee, and Lincolnshire were burglarized on Nov. 30 and a residence in Highland Park burglarized Dec. 3.

Lincolnshire and Highland Park police with the sheriff’s office and North Regional Major Crimes Task Force reviewed surveillance video and other evidence leading to Ristick and Miller, according to the sheriff’s office.

During a detention hearing Friday afternoon, both were ordered held pending trial.
