Batavia has warming center

The Batavia Police Department lobby will serve as a warming center through noon Friday, Dec. 5, in the Schielke Government Center, 100 N. Island Ave.

People are asked to check in at a phone in the lobby. There are no sleeping accommodations, dedicated hygiene facilities or refrigerators.
