School near Naperville locked down briefly due to police activity
A school near Naperville was placed on a brief lockdown Tuesday morning as DuPage County deputies responded to a home, according to the sheriff’s office.
Sheriff’s deputies responded at approximately 10:30 a.m. to a residence in the Steeple Run Subdivision for a person having a mental health crisis, authorities said.
The sheriff’s office notified administrators with Naperville Unit District 203, who, out of an abundance of caution, placed Steeple Run Elementary School on a brief soft lockdown.
According to authorities, the incident was resolved quickly, and the lockdown was lifted.
