Glen Ellyn Historical Society to celebrate ‘Christmas by Candlelight’

With its festive trimmings on display, a Glen Ellyn landmark will host a cozy “Christmas by Candlelight” celebration this Saturday, Dec. 6.

The Twig and Bloom Garden Club has decorated Stacy’s Tavern Museum, a restored 1840s-era inn near the modern-day Five Corners intersection of St. Charles and Geneva roads and Main Street.

Self-guided tours are offered throughout the Glen Ellyn Historical Society’s annual holiday event, which runs from 4 to 7 p.m.

Families also can visit the Glen Ellyn History Center to enjoy holiday craft activities before or after museum tours. Admission is free, while donations are welcome. For details, call (630) 469-1867 or visit gehs.org.
