Get ’em while they’re hot: Half-price tickets available for suburban, Chicago performances
Buffalo, Citadel, Drury Lane, Marriott, Northlight and Oil Lamp are among the suburban theaters participating in the Hot Tix “Half Price Holidays” promotion offering discounted admission to upcoming performances.
From Thursday, Dec. 4, through Dec. 15, half-price tickets will be available to holiday and nonholiday theater, music, dance and comedy shows at HotTix.org. See the website for participating theaters and venues.
In the suburbs, tickets are available on select dates for “Million Dollar Quartet Christmas” and “Disney’s Finding Nemo” at Marriott, “Georgiana and Kitty: Christmas at Pemberley” at BTE, “Miracle on South Division Street” at Citadel, “Gaslight” at Northlight, “Sister Act” at Drury Lane and “It’s a Wonderful Life” radio play at Oil Lamp.
Discount tickets are also available for the McAninch Arts Center’s “The Second City: Jack Frost Roasting on an Open Fire,” “Voctave: It Feels Like Christmas” and the New Philharmonic’s New Year’s Eve concert.
In Chicago, discount tickets are available for Goodman Theatre’s “A Christmas Carol,” Lifeline’s “Jacob Marley’s Christmas Carol” and “Kerfuffle’s The Conductors,” American Blues Theater’s “It’s a Wonderful Life: Live in Chicago!,” Chicago Children’s Theater’s “The Beatrix Potter Holiday Party,” “Manual Cinema’s Christmas Carol” at the Studebaker Theater, “Superior Donuts” at The Artistic Home, “Six” and “Rocky Mountain High Experience: A John Denver Christmas” at Broadway in Chicago, “Phony Award Winning Musical: Improvised Rudolph” and “Whirled News Tonight” at iO Theater and other productions.
Additionally, Chicago Symphony Orchestra’s Chanticleer Christmas, Merry, Merry Chicago! and its Debussy & Prokofiev program have half-price tickets available through Hot Tix.
