Elk Grove cancels special leaf collection, offers alternative

Due to the weekend’s snowstorm, Elk Grove Village has canceled this week’s special extended leaf collection.

However, residents who still have leaves to dispose of may bring them to the leaf dumpsters located at the Public Works Facility, 450 E. Devon Ave., and the Public Works Biesterfield Facility, 1635 Biesterfield Road, until Dec. 12.

Residents are asked not to use plastic bags.

To help residents next spring, the village will offer a spring leaf collection once the weather warms. Details on future leaf collections will be provided in early 2026.
