President’s behavior embarrassing, dangerous
There are few things more sorrowful than the president of the United States of America calling a female reporter “Piggy” to her face, when she asked him a legitimate question that he didn’t like. Of course, there have been a plethora of questions over time that he hasn’t liked (especially those threatening to expose his weak underbelly), but what another depressing day for America when the president once again and for the umpteenth time acted like a petulant middle-schooler by verbally denigrating yet another woman. If anyone ever doubted his misogynist personality before this, they should now be convinced. That Trump has no second gear is disturbing on many levels.
I have lived through many presidential administrations and to witness how low American politics has sunk — particularly the eternally angry, crude, always-on-the-defensive Trump — the recent name calling is about as depressing as it gets. There are other depressing things coming out of the Trump Administration to be sure, but what next? In a fit of pique (something he suffers daily), does he decide to take things a step further (remember, there is no bridge too far for this guy) and flash his middle finger at the next unfortunate reporter who dares to ask him a question? He is completely oblivious to “time and place,” and constantly acts like the nasty old family relative who you hope and pray doesn’t show up at your Thanksgiving dinner table ever again.
How sad America as a whole has sunk so far into the muck and mire, led by an explosive and clueless individual who has no off switch.
