Two-vehicle crash in Libertyville injures three people

A two-vehicle crash Monday morning in Libertyville injured three people.

Libertyville police say the crash happened at about 10:20 a.m. in the intersection of North Lake Street and Winchester Road.

The force of the collision caused one vehicle to roll on its side, trapping a passenger who eventually was extricated by firefighters.

Both drivers and the passenger suffered serious injuries, but the injuries were not considered life-threatening, police said.

All three were taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. Their current conditions are unknown.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
