Kids Above All collecting holiday gifts for needy children

A Chicago-area group called Kids Above All is collecting holiday gifts for children affected by poverty, violence and other issues.

Donations of new toys, books, and clothes can be dropped off at the group’s distribution center, 1801 E. Oakton St. in Des Plaines.

Volunteers are needed to organize and bag gifts for delivery, too.
