Thanksgiving is special among holidays
Thanksgiving is like that beloved old book we take down from the shelf every so often to reread. Although we know the passages by heart, we still find them so very comforting.
The best part of the holiday is its rich traditions that remain timeless. Unlike other national celebrations that have been compromised by modern interpretations and commercialism, Thanksgiving remains consistent in embracing the past while also maximizing the entertainment value of the present. I can’t possibly imagine a November that doesn’t include a gathering of family and friends to share priceless memories as well as a mutual love for one another on the most festive occasion of the year.
And that, quite simply, is what Thanksgiving means to me.
