District 214 board president to help lead state association
Northwest Suburban High School District 214 Board of Education President Alva Kreutzer was elected vice president of the Illinois Association of School Boards at the organization’s annual delegate assembly this weekend.
Kreutzer, of Elk Grove Village, is currently director of the North Cook Division of the association, which is composed of elected boards of education throughout the state.
“This role provides a chance to collaborate with fellow board members across Illinois, share ideas, and continue working toward high-quality educational opportunities for every student,” she said.
Kreutzer has been on the District 214 board since 1999, and previously served on the Elk Grove Township Elementary District 59 board, village community service board and zoning board of appeals.
