Police seek more potential victims of man accused of taking upskirt video

Geneva police are asking women to call them if they interacted with a St. Charles man who has been accused of taking unauthorized upskirt videos of women.

Jascent M. Harvey, 29, of the 1300 block of West Main Street, was charged Oct. 3 with burglary and unauthorized video recording of intimate parts, according to a police news release.

He is accused of using his phone to secretly record underneath a woman’s skirt Aug. 20 at the Little Red Barn Door store in downtown Geneva store.

Further investigation showed more than 400 unauthorized videos on the phone, dating back to 2017. They were taken at stores, banks and offices in Algonquin, DeKalb, Geneva, Elgin, Naperville, South Elgin, St. Charles and Wheaton; public libraries in Batavia, DeKalb, Elburn, Geneva, St. Charles, North Aurora, West Chicago, Sycamore and Wheaton; and government buildings in DeKalb, Elgin and Aurora.

Women who believe they may have interacted with Harvey are asked to send an email to pdinvestigations@geneva.il.us.

Harvey is free on pretrial release. His next court date is Dec. 17.
