Aurora man pleads guilty to involuntary servitude of women

An Aurora man pleaded guilty Wednesday to six counts of involuntary servitude, in exchange for a 13-year prison sentence.

Jamar Hare, 32, of the 500 block of Jackson Street, profited financially from a scheme that involved men paying for sexual acts from women under the defendant’s control at a residence in Aurora in 2020 and 2021, according to a news release from the Kane County state’s attorney’s office.

Hare used illegal drugs, threats and physical force to control the women providing the sexual acts, authorities said.
