Run for a Cause as a Claus

The Rotary Club of Arlington Heights has announced the return of the Rotary Santa Run for its 18th annual celebration. This cherished community event, which kick offs the holiday season, will take place on Saturday, Dec. 6.

The morning begins with the popular “Reindeer Dash” at 9:30 a.m., where children ages 10 and younger will have the opportunity to race alongside the Grinch. Following the dash, the main events — the Rotary Santa 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk — will start at 10 a.m.

Spectators are encouraged to attend and witness the festive “sea of Santas.” Free hot chocolate, sponsored by Kilwins, will be available for all attendees.

Key Highlights:

• New this Year: A family rate option is now offered for registration.

• Commemorative Medal: The first 1,700 registered runners will receive a special commemorative medal.

• Packet Pick-up: Santa suits (included with registration) and packets may be picked up at the Arlington Ridge Center on Dec. 4 and 5 during scheduled times.

“The Santa Run isn't just fun — it's a powerful way to make a real difference in the community,” said John Kent, Rotary Club of Arlington Heights President. “It's a fantastic tradition that brings the whole village together, and the best part is knowing the funds raised help our neighbors feel seen, supported and cared for.”
