Wheeling officials to host charity breakfast to help local families

Wheeling trustees will host a charity pancake breakfast Saturday, benefiting families that have lost federal food assistance benefits.

The gathering is set to run from 8 to 10:30 a.m. at the Wheeling police station, 1 Community Blvd.

The admission fee is a canned or nonperishable food item. Cash donations to the nonprofit group Wheeling Helping Hands will be accepted, too.
