COD launches Presidential Lecture Series featuring Elon University’s Dr. Peter Felten

College of DuPage invites community members to attend the inaugural event in President Dr. Muddassir Siddiqi’s Presidential Lecture Series featuring Dr. Peter Felten on Thursday, Dec. 4.

Felten is a professor of history, executive director of the Center for Engaged Learning and assistant provost for teaching and learning at Elon University in North Carolina.

A nationally recognized leader in higher education, Felten has written seven books on undergraduate education, including “Connections Are Everything: A College Student’s Guide to Relationship-Rich Education.”

His forthcoming book, “The SoTL Guide: (Re)Orienting the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning,” will be published in late 2025. Felten also serves on the advisory board of the National Survey of Student Engagement and is a fellow of the Gardner Institute.

Designed to advance COD’s commitment to a culture of care and belonging, the Presidential Lecture Series will bring together expert speakers, thought leaders and innovators to share insights on the trends, challenges and opportunities shaping the future of higher education.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will be from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in the Student Resource Center, Room 2000, on the Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd.
