Voices Unlimited Chorus presents ‘A Christmas Invitation’ on Dec. 7
The Voices Unlimited Chorus will be presenting their Christmas/holiday choral concert “A Christmas Invitation” on Sunday, Dec. 7, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 310 E Main St. in East Dundee.
The first notes of the concert will be at 3 p.m. with the doors opening at 2:30 p.m. Parking in the church’s multiple lots is plentiful and entrance will be through the main doors located on the south side of the church.
Voices’ established concert tradition includes singing both sacred and secular choral selections. Included in this years repertoire are “Celebrate the Child,” a powerful and dynamic anthem rooted in the themes of faith, hope and the birth of Christ.
Additional songs include Bing Crosby’s “Do You Hear What I Hear?” “The Little Drummer Boy” first recorded by the Von Trapp Family Singers in 1951, and “Beautiful Star of Bethlehem” sung continuously over the years by the Bill Gaither Vocal Band.
Founder and director David Barth says, “These and all our additional selections will bring an almost unmatched emotion to the concert, which has been the forte of the Chorus since our inception in 2023. Our audiences proclaim that what they witness is more than just a concert. It’s a celebration and in this case, a celebration of the Christmas and holiday season through music, togetherness, and the beauty of voices united in song. It is music bringing us together in celebration, joy, and memorable moments.”
