Mundelein holds 2025 Winter Tree Lighting Festival Dec. 6

Celebrate the season with the village of Mundelein at the Winter Tree Lighting Festival from 3-6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, at Courtland Commons, 444 E. Courtland St., Mundelein. In partnership with Mundelein Community Connection, the Mundelein Park & Recreation District and the village of Mundelein, the festive event offers fun for all ages, including live musical performances, train rides for children, ice carving demonstrations and displays, Santa’s Cottage, Kriss Kringle Market, crafts, food vendors and more.

Activities planned for Dec. 6 include:

• Activities, food and festival kickoff: 3 p.m.

• Ice Carving: 3:30-5:30 p.m.

• Kids’ Holiday Train Rides: 3-6 p.m.

• Kriss Kringle Market: 3-6 p.m.

• Santa’s Cottage: 3-5 p.m.

• Tree Lighting Ceremony: 5:30-6 p.m.

Live Performances are scheduled by Mark & Maggie, Laura McGovern, Mundelein High School Rush Hour, Kelly Tooley, Herencia Fina Band, Mike Brown, Joey Acodiado, the Carmel High School Choir, and Abbi Adjei-Perberg.
