Katelyn E. Heiden

A Huntley man and woman were charged Friday in connection with a video of a man engaging in sexual contact with a dog that came to light in July, police said.

Both Efin J. Nolte, 23, and Katelyn E. Heiden, 27, of the 9900 block of Yardley Drive, were charged with sexual conduct with an animal, a Class 4 felony.

Huntley police began investigating after receiving notification of the video that ultimately was confirmed to have been created in Huntley and the two suspects were identified.

On Friday, Nolte and Heiden were served with a search warrant for electronic devices.

Huntley detectives and Illinois Attorney General Investigators examined and analyzed several seized electronic devices leading to the suspects being arrested and charged.

Nolte and Heiden were transported to the McHenry County Jail to await a detention hearing. Police said the investigation remains active.
