Fox River Valley Library hosting food drive for FISH Food Pantry

The Fox River Valley Public Library District, 555 Barrington Ave., East Dundee, will host a food drive from Nov. 10 through Dec. 30 to benefit the Fish Food Pantry in Carpentersville.

The library is accepting donations of nonperishable food items, including pet food, as well as hygiene and personal care products. Community members are encouraged to drop off items during regular library hours.

The FISH Food Pantry has shared the following Holiday Wish List of most-needed items:

• Baby wipes

• Bag of sugar

• Baked beans

• Breakfast cereal

• Canned fruit cocktail

• Canned peaches

• Canned pears

• Canned tuna

• Dessert mix (brownie or cake)

• Dry potatoes

• Hot cocoa

• Ketchup and mustard

• Oatmeal or hot cereal

• Refried beans

• Rice

• Salt, pepper, and cooking spices

• Spaghetti sauce and pasta

• Stuffing

• Turkey gravy

• Whole kernel corn

Those unable to bring donations to the library can still make an impact by visiting the FISH Food Pantry website at fish-food-pantry.org for information on volunteering or making a financial contribution.
