Hoffman Estates electronics recycling drop-off ends Nov. 17

Hoffman Estates’ electronics recycling drop-off program that runs from 10 a.m. to noon Mondays at the Public Works Fleet Maintenance facility, 2405 Pembroke Ave., ends for the season on Monday, Nov. 17.

After Nov. 17 and until the program reopens next spring, large electronics can be recycled at the Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County Glenview Transfer Station, 3 Providence Way, Des Plaines, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturdays, with holiday closings scheduled for Nov. 29, Dec. 27 and Jan. 3.

Small electronics are accepted for recycling through a special drop-box in the village hall lobby year-round. Groot also offers a curbside pickup option for recycling electronics. Call Groot at (800) 244-1977 to arrange for a special electronics collection.
