2 charged with burglarizing Aurora businesses
Two men have been accused of burglarizing two businesses Friday on Eola Road in Aurora.
Police said they responded around 2:13 a.m. to the 2300 block of South Eola. Even though the alarm company attempted to cancel the response, police still went there to confirm the security of the property.
They saw damaged doors and windows, indicating someone had forced their way into Smoke City and Extra Value Wine and Liquor. They also saw a vehicle leaving the area. Police stopped it nearby. They say it contained items that connected the vehicle’s occupants to the businesses.
Nothing was taken.
Andrew G. Gajdalo, 18, is charged with burglary, possession of burglary tools and criminal damage to property. Brevin S. Koering, 18, is charged with burglary and possession of burglary tools. Both live in Aurora, according to Aurora police.
The two were released with notices to appear in Will County Circuit Court.
