The Lineup: A Season of Soul and Swing

• Alyssa Allgood & Chris Madsen Quartet, 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23: Start the season on a high note with Alyssa Allgood, named a Rising Star Female Vocalist in the DownBeat Magazine Critics Poll, and saxophonist Chris Madsen, lecturer and coordinator of jazz studies at Loyola University Chicago. Expect expressive vocals, daring improvisation, and a “Mad-Good” mix of talent and chemistry.

• Chris White Trio — Peanuts Jazz, 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 18: A Lake Forest favorite returns! The Chris White Trio brings holiday cheer with their heartwarming tribute to Vince Guaraldi, the legendary composer behind the Peanuts Christmas soundtrack. It’s the perfect blend of nostalgia and joy — a cozy evening of timeless jazz to celebrate the season.

• Red Rose Jazz, 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11: Shake off the winter chill with Red Rose Jazz. Their lively mix of ragtime, Dixieland, and early jazz brings warmth, wit, and charm to every performance.

• Rendezvous Arts: Latin Jazz with James Sanders & Conjunto, 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16: Turn up the heat as violinist James Sanders and his ensemble bring the rhythms of Latin America to Lake Forest. Passionate, percussive and irresistible.

• Victor Garcia Latin Jazz Quintet, 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 6: A returning favorite, Grammy-nominated Victor Garcia and his quintet light up the stage with exuberant, high-energy Latin jazz that will have audiences tapping their feet all night long.

• Rendezvous Arts: Christian Dillingham Jazz Quartet, 7 p.m. Friday, April 17: Close out the season with the masterful Christian Dillingham Jazz Quartet. Known for their rich sound and musical sophistication, they deliver an evening of artistry that lingers long after the final note.
