Elmhurst State of the Park District set for Nov. 17
Elmhurst residents are invited to a virtual State of the Park District address on Monday, Nov. 17.
Park board President Kevin Graf and Jim Rogers, the agency’s executive director, will deliver the address, starting at 6 p.m. via Zoom.
The event, the district says, will give the public a chance to ask questions and learn about projects and future plans.
Voters last year approved the district’s funding request to replace the Wagner Community Center and complete other projects in its improvement plan, “Elevate Elmhurst Parks.”
The new Wagner center will include a walking/jogging track, indoor gymnasium and court space for pickleball, basketball, volleyball and other sports, an indoor children’s play area, plus larger gymnastics and dance spaces. The old facility closed last month.
