Des Plaines crafting rules for e-bikes and e-scooters
The Des Plaines City Council on Monday debated proposed regulations for electric bicycles, scooters and similar motorized vehicles but didn’t finalize a plan.
A revised proposal could come back to the council as soon as its next meeting, which is set for 7 p.m. Nov. 17, at city hall, 1420 Miner St.
A video recording of Monday’s meeting is available online at desplainesil.gov.
Regulations for e-bikes and similar machines have been added to the books in Hoffman Estates, Mount Prospect, Palatine, Libertyville, Schaumburg and other suburbs in recent months.
