Q Center highlights St. Charles economic impact

Q Center, the Midwest’s largest conference and meeting facility, welcomes thousands of visitors each year to St. Charles, generating a significant impact on the community.

Each year, Q Center draws in about 26,000 visitors and hosts around 255 meetings and events. These guests came from all over the world to utilize Q Center’s facility. With 150,000 square feet of IACC-certified meeting space and more than 1,000 guest rooms, it offers an unmatched destination for events of all sizes.

During their stay, Q Center guests support local St. Charles businesses where they are frequently transported via shuttle to downtown St. Charles, where they enjoy the vibrant mix of restaurants, retail shops, and entertainment venues.

Q Center also actively supports the local business community in a variety of ways, such as by collaborating with them and showcasing their products at Q Center.

Local brews are served at both the Fox Bar and Brick Oven Bistro, and Q Center has partnered with Riverlands Brewing Co. to create a custom beer exclusive to the venue.

In addition, they regularly donate to local charities and feature a St. Charles Market, where guests can purchase merchandise from area businesses like Hairy Ant Printing Co., Magnolia Soap & Bath Co., and more.

Q Center General Manager Kimberley Mercado shared the following regarding Q Center and its dedication to initiatives that benefit the broader community:

“We take immense pride in being able to support local businesses. By integrating local partnerships and showcasing regional excellence … we believe it creates a unique experience for guests to enjoy.”

Beyond its role as a premier conference and event venue, Q Center plays a vital part in the local economy as one of St. Charles’ largest employers, with a team of over 200 associates. Its expansive campus serves as a dynamic hub for corporate trainings, team-building retreats, conferences, and social gatherings.

Local organizations frequently tap into Q Center’s versatile spaces to host signature events, such as CASA Kane County’s Children’s Champion Celebration Gala and the Kane County Educator of the Year awards, further embedding the venue into the fabric of the community.

Mercado envisions even deeper collaboration with the regional business sector. “We see opportunities for local corporate, industrial and manufacturing businesses to utilize Q Center for trainings, education and much more,” she said. “We have some great incentives coming for 2026 for groups to book events at Q Center.”
