Fox River Valley Initiative to host affordable housing meeting Nov. 8
On Saturday, Nov. 8, the Fox River Valley Initiative will meet to address the lack of affordable housing in Kane and DuPage counties and surrounding areas.
It will be held at 11 a.m. at Christ the Lord Lutheran Church, 12N462 Tina Trail, on Highland Avenue, just west of Randall Road in Elgin.
Fox River Valley Initiative representatives hope to build on the success of 1212 Larkin, an integrated permanent supportive housing development in Elgin for residential use, serving working families and individuals with mental and physical disabilities.
The meeting will begin at the church, then travel from the church to 1212 Larkin Ave. for a tour.
