Pumpkin smash Nov. 8 in St. Charles

The St. Charles Natural Resources Commission will have a pumpkin smash from 9 a.m. to noon Nov. 8 at the St. Charles Public Works Facility, 1405 S. Seventh Ave.

Participants will toss, smash, roll, or simply drop off pumpkins to be composted. Remove non-biodegradable materials, such as candles, plastic stickers, yarn and other decorations.
