Economics snapshot

Argentina temporarily suspends its tax on soybean exports to supply China with soybeans at a premium price, because China can't contract with U.S. farmers as they have in the past. U.S. farmers cannot sell their crop of soybeans, causing uncertainty about sustainability of their farms. Trump will provide them a financial bailout that will temporarily pay their bills but solves none of their sustainability problems. President Milei of Argentina is unpopular but a great admirer of President Trump, so he gets a $20 billion bailout to prop up Argentine currency and get him reelected. Trump is also seeking private donations for another $20 billion for President Milei. This is Trump economics in a snapshot.
