Parking restrictions in place as Arlington Heights rehabs downtown garage
Parking restrictions will be in place at the Vail Parking Garage in Arlington Heights during a rehabilitation project expected to last about 12 weeks, or through January 2026.
The work includes maintenance that addresses structural concrete cracks, leaks, spalls, scaling, joint sealant deterioration and waterproofing, according to the village.
Three elevators will be modernized as part of the project, but to minimize disruption, only one will be out of service at a time during construction.
Restrictions include no commuter parking/daily fee parking, and parking closures beginning on the garage's top deck and working their way through each floor until work is complete.
Residents, merchants and guests with permits may park in spaces designated for commuters/daily fee during construction.
Vail commuter parking permits will be accepted in the North Parking Garage for the duration of construction.
